fair usage plusnet

I love Livejournal, I really do.

One can find anything here... For anything you are interested in, there is probably a community of people out there who are also interested in the same thing. Whether Iapos;m looking for sewing tutorials, art techniques, costuming, toymaking, cooking, gardening, wild foods and foraging, homesteading, do-it-yourself projects, dyeing fabrics, environmental sustainability, spiritual discussions, information on pets or houseplants, or whatever else I want to see that day, I am sure to find it, along with all the great, individual, personal experiences of the people who posted about them.

Livejournal appears to be a useful medium for keeping in touch with friends, as well. Whether by starting a community for a specific interest of ours, or just personal journal postings, this will connect us and keep a record of some of the things weapos;ve explored.

For instance, what I keep calling "Herbology classes" - where friend(s) and I explore the uses and properties of wild food and medicine plants. That could do with being an lj comm.

Ideas for "Herbology" or whatever else we would call it...

-plant profiles that show picture, names, uses, taste, cooking methods
-adventures in cooking/harvesting/trying to use it as dye, etc etc etc.
-wheat from near the University
-burdock root
-mint - harvesting, drying, uses, growing it
-useful tools
